In 2017, we produced plastic pull rod covers for selfie sticks for Shenzhen Yuandesheng Technology Co., Ltd. When we pulled the mold back from the customer, it was a mold that could produce 8 products and needed to be manually connected. Production and loading were very inconvenient, and the product weight was very small, while the sprue accounted for too much, and the product cost was high.

After internal discussions in our company, a new mold opening plan was adopted, 16 products were produced in one mold, and hot runners were used to reduce sprues. During production, a robot was used to pick up the goods, which greatly reduced the product defect rate. The production efficiency was increased fourfold, the defect rate was reduced by 3 times, and the increase in the number of molds reduced the cost by 50%.
